Yes. We offer the Furminator treatment to help with shed control. This is a four step process involving specific product to help loosen the coat during the bathing and drying process. We then use a tool designed to remove the dead, excessive undercoat. Regular treatments can reduce up to 80%.
Cost will depend on the services provided, type of breed, as well as condition of the coat, extra brushing or hand scissoring. Extra services such as flea treatments and medicated bath, anal glands, nail grinded, will vary by price according to size and breed. We will be happy to discuss options and pricing with you once we see your pet.
Most pets don’t have a problem staying all day as we offer Doggie DayCare services and if you would like your pet to go out and play with others to socialize and exercise for a few hours before starting the grooming process. However, we will be happy to help you with scheduling for a pick up time. Just let us know when you call in for your appointment that you will need a specific pick up time.
We recommend that you bring your dog in every 4 to 6 weeks depending on the hair type. Over the years we have learned that dogs like laso, shitzue, poodles, cocker spaniels, wheatons, havenese should be groomed every 4 weeks and labradors, golden doodles, retrievers, mix breed should come every 6 weeks.
Your puppy should begin the grooming process as soon as the second round of puppy shots has been completed. It’s a good idea to familiarize your puppy with grooming, even if its just a bath, trim nails and a simple tidy up to start out with. He will come to learn that grooming is a FUN and positive thing, not scary at all
Not necessarily. He may just be excited from the car ride or simply all the different smells from the other pets in our facility. Much like dropping your kids at preschool, once you are gone they settle right into their day filled with fun things to see, smell, and do. If your dog feels that you are comfortable leaving him, he will feel comfortable being left.
